Start with where an insect lives. It comes up from underground — from the roots, from the dark, from the place you go down into when you're doing the slow, unglamorous work of healing. And here's the secret feeling this dream sits on: most people, when something small and buggy shows up, feel that reflexive flinch of ugh, get it away from me. You see a fly in a restaurant and you turn around and walk back out. That flinch is exactly the point.
