This one tends to be genuinely shocking in the dream — fresh wood on the walls, wide clean floor, and you're standing there thinking, this is an old house, this can't be here. When the space above doesn't match the building underneath, your dream is telling you the higher part of you is in far better condition than you assume. The life below might feel worn, patched, weathered by whatever just came through. Upstairs, nothing is worn out. Nothing up there needs fixing.

Light is streaming in through the attic windows

Attic windows are small and high, and when the light comes through them it comes through hard — it fills the whole space at once. If you woke up remembering the light more than the room, that's the point of the dream. Something in you is being lit from above right now, and you're being shown it while it's happening. You don't have to do anything with it. You're just being asked to stand in the room and see it.

You dream of the attic again and again
