Frequently Asked Questions for the Protective Parenting Program

Frequently Asked Questions for the Protective Parenting Program

What age of child is this program appropriate for?

The Protective Parenting Program can be done for the benefit of children as young as 3-4 years old and well into adulthood.

The current “record” is an 80-something-year-old father, who did the program for his 50-something-year-old adult son, and it was just incredible.

If you consider the first protective measure and imagine if your own parent did this exercise with you, even now as an adult, and whether this would have a healing impact on you now, even as an adult, then you will have your answer. 🙂

What if the other parent of my child is unwilling to do this program with me, or even consider these protective measures?

I generally recommend that one parent starts this program by themselves, privately, first. The exercises will tend to give you a kind of “x-ray vision” into the deeper patterns and “emotional physics” in your family and parenting dynamics, which you may or may not be ready to engage with your child’s other parent on.

After you have done a few weeks of the program, you will have a wealth of tools and frameworks to start to “make a plan” as to how to bring these protective measures to the other parent in a way that will be compelling and not threatening.

If this does not work, we will present a powerful way of mitigating this exact situation in Week Four of the program.

How much time does the program take every week?

The sessions run about 60 minutes each week with additional time on your own to do the exercises.

Also, your access to the sessions does not expire, so you can take your time and spend more than 1 week on each section.

Do I still have access to the sessions after 4 weeks? What if I fall behind?

You can take your time in going through the sessions – your access to the core sessions does not expire.
